San Diego Blues Festival

The San Diego Blues Festival was founded in 2011 by the It’s mission was to provide amazing music for people to enjoy at a low cost. Additionally, it’s purpose was to raise money that would help to fight hunger in the community. Today, this event has grown immensely and has definitely made an impact in San Diego County. Sponsors and festival attendees have contributed over $585,000 and more than 12 tons of food to the local Food Bank.

What to Expect

The San Diego Blues Festival is a perfect event for the entire family. It’s two stages will showcase 9 musical acts that will keep you up on your feet! Additionally, you can enjoy delicious food from the featured vendors, local craft beer, specialty cocktails, wine, and arts and crafts.

Sounds like fun, right? Well, here’s how your fun can help someone in need: All proceed from this event will go towards the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. Plus, you can bring food donations as well. This way, the food bank has the resources it needs to continue with feeding more than 370,000 people. It’s a win-win!

Baker Electric Solar Stage

  • 12:45 p.m. – Blue Largo
  • 2:30 p.m. – Rick Estrin & the Nightcats
  • 4:30 p.m. – The California Honeydrops
  • 6:30 p.m. – Mavis Staples

BCS Main Stage

  • 12 p.m. – Missy, Mercedes & Sharifah
  • 1:30 p.m. Leo Bud Welch
  • 3:30 p.m. – Chris James, Patrick Rynn & Aki Kumar
  • 5:30 p.m. – Joe Louis Walker


This year’s San Diego Blues Festival will take place on Saturday, September 9. It will be held Downtown at the Embarcadero Marina Park North from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Ticket prices vary, depending on the amount of benefits you are looking to receive.
